About the Ground
This is Crewe's first visit on four years to the slightly re-developed Bloomfield Road. Crewe's last visit ended with a 1-0 win with a goal coming in the 69th minute from Kenny Lunt. Crewe do have an impressive record at Bloomfield Road and have only lost once on their last six visits and that was a 2-1 defeat back in 1995.

The ground has a capacity of 9,000 seats and the club hope to have a capacity of 16,000 when the work is finally done. The North and West stand's are done and look impressive and a far cry from the old Bloomfield Road of yesteryear.

Where to Drink
Blackpool has an abundance of pubs, few I have been to is round the Foxhall area of the town. The Waterloo in Waterloo Road is recommended for families that have food and Sky television.

Travel

By train

The closest railway station to the ground is Blackpool South and is around a ten minute walk away. However fewer trains stop at this station with most calling at Blackpool North. Blackpool North station is around two miles away and therefore you may wish to jump in a cab to the ground or take in the famous Blackpool Tram down the golden mile.

By coach
The club are running two coaches going for the Blackpool game.
Coach One leaves at 8:30am priced £10 members and £11 non-members.
Coach Two leaves at 11am and is priced £9 members and £10 non-members.

By Car
Distance from Crewe to Blackpool is 75 miles.
Leave the M6 at Junction 32. Follow the M55 into the outskirts of Blackpool and continue straight along this road until you see the ground on your right. The ground is roughly located about half way between the Pleasure Beach and the Tower and is about a 1/4 of a mile inland from the south shore. Large pay and display car parks are located just across the road from the ground.

For the Away fan

Delays to the rest of the ground have meant that the away fans are now housed in the East Stand compared to the South Stand last time. Still the away fan will still be exposed to the elements if the forecast is rain, the temporary stand has 1,700 the rest of the facilities are basic and this includes the toilets which are portacabin. The food facilities are housed in a tiny wooden building and more or less only allow one person at a time.
