26 year-old Midfielder Billy Bingham has been released by the Railwaymen as he looks to head back down south and find a new club. Bingham had spent two seasons after his free move from Dagenham and netted goal of the season with his strike against Blackburn in the Capital One Cup as voted for by the fans.
Defender Harry Davis has also been released after being at the club from an early age, no surprise that Davis has gone especially after the sacking of his father Steve in January. Davis had spent the second part of the season on loan at St Mirren when he helped them kick start their season with some goals and clean sheets. Although his season came to an end when he substained an knee injury that then ruled him out for the rest of the season.
24 year-old Ben Nugent has also been released which surprised a few fans but it seems that the former Cardiff City defender just missed ot on a contract and will be looking for pastures new for the 2017/2018 season.
21 year-old former academy prospect and striker Callum Saunders has also been given a free transfer, the son of former player Dean has found it hard to break into the first team with niggling injuries hampering his progress. No dount a move to a conference club could kick start his career.
Keeper Andy Dawber has been released after he joined the club in January as emergency cover to Dave Richards who broke a finger. The former Accrington Stanley keeper failed to make a first team appearance but did feature in the Cheshire Senior Cup and also U23's.
Finally 20 year-old defender Marcus Porsha who joined from Bury in the summer has also been released, Porscha failed to make a first team appearance but played quite a lot of matches in the academy.
