Billy is 'the next big thing' from Crewe and since his first ever appearance in October last year his profile has risen beyond all expectations. The 16 year old was unsurprisingly called up for the England U-19s, after being the U-17s captain for over a year.
England U-19s will be playing Holland U-19s tonight, a team the U-19s coach, Dick Bates, relishes because of their technical ability. Billy will come up against players who Dick Bates sees as their age group equivalent of Dennis Bergkamp.
Billy is one of 3 U-19 players starting who have regular first team football, James Milner of Leeds and Wayne Moaning Routledge of Crystal Palace - a player Billy came up against earlier this season.
Billy, though, is the youngest in the squad by a long way...
Dean Ashton is also starting tonight, for the England U-21s. You can catch that game on Sky Sports at 8pm tonight, live from Hull's KC Stadium.
