Billy Jones broke into the team as a 16 year old in October 2003 and has since played 90% of games. His versatility between midfield and defence makes him the ideal replacement for anyone on the park but nothing was as impressive as his consistent performances. The youngster shone in every game and received all sorts of praise through out the season.

Billy, who has been linked with Man Utd since he was 12, turned 17 in March which allows him to sign a professional contract at the Alex and Dario isn't wasting anymore time as a contract has been put forward to Billy for him to sign.

Dario told The Sentinel that the contract has been agreed and it's just a matter of getting ink to paper:

"It has already been agreed with Billy that he will sign. The length of the contract depends on what he wants to do, but we are limited as to how many years we can offer him.

"But we'll get that done as soon as we can. Billy has burst on to the scene and while he's not surprised us particularly with his progress, we have been surprised he has managed to keep it going."
