Bid for Rendell rejected.

It seems that yet again the Railwaymen have been thwarted in their attempts to sign a striker again. This time the Railwaymen had placed a bid for Cambridge United striker Scott Rendell but the bid has been rejects by the U's board.

With only three days left before the transfer window closes the Railwaymen are lagging behind in the transfer market and are struggling to bring in a striker to the club to bolster a powder puff strike force.

Rendell who joined Cambridge from Crawlet Town on a free transfer during the summer has been watched a few times by the Railwaymen.
21-year-old Rendell has so far scored 16 goals this season for the U's and is joint second in the scoring charts in the Blue Square Premiership behind previous target of Stuart Fleetwood.
