Ben Futcher Linked

Futcher has recieved a lot of interest since being put on the transfer list at his own request but the three main teams after him are Peterbrough, Bolton and us.

Peterborough made the first move last month, and soon ended their interest. A £100,000 bid for Futcher was rejected by Lincoln, and Peterborough's Barry Fry told the local press;

"I hear big clubs like Bolton Wanderers and Crewe are also sniffing around, but they are yet to make a firm bid. That's why I want to try and get my man now because we will stand no chance when his contract expires."

After Peterborough's bid Barry Fry said interest in Futcher was over, saying he "won't go a penny over £100,000". It seems that we were rumoured to be after Futcher a couple of months back, and these comments only add weight to the rumour.

However, the recent trial of Brian O'Callaghan may put an end to the rumours sooner or later.
