'Bell's a good player and fits the bill' - Jimmy Quinn

Lee Bell is out of favour at Crewe. The 20 year old appeared a few time slast season and made a couple of starts but this season has seen the signing of the ever impressive Justin Cochrane which has seen Bell pushed down to 6th choice in the centre of midfield.

The tough tackler was due to go out onloan to conference team Shrewsbury Town this week but that was put off due to injuries to Rix, and now Brammer. Caretaker boss Neil Baker:

"Belly was going to go out on loan to Shrewsbury but now Ben (Rix) and David (Brammer) are injured that will have to be put on hold for now."

Manager of Shrewsbury Jimmy Quinn has seen Belly many times since he lives in Crewe and see's a few matches. He was disappointed by the none mover:

"Bell's a good player and he fits the bill because he's got a bit of quality about him but they've got one or two knocks so it's no-go there,"

"It is frustrating but I am still pretty hopeful of bringing in new faces sooner rather than later.

"It's just a case of making more phone calls and there's not many people I don't know in football."
