Burton Albion will look to secure the services of Lee Bell at the Pirelli Stadium as Nigel Clough looks set to bolster his promotion-chasing sqaud.
23 -year-old Bell had a succesful loan spell last season with the Brewers, helping them to five wins from six during his months loan spell.

Nigel Clough sees Bell as Bell as an ideal replacement for Paul Caden who looks set to join League Two outfit Bury.

Clough said: "Lee would be a direct replacement for Paul Carden, although we're still not sure when he will be going to Bury.

"He can play a holding role in midfield, he can also get forward and he did well with us last season.

"It helps when can you bring in a player who is already familiar with your set-up.

"He's not going to be quite 100 per cent in terms of match sharpness, but he'll be fit enough to do a job for us for a month."

The move to the Conference team maybe put on hold as Bell may get a run out in Crewe's Johnstones Paint Trophy game away to Chesterfield this Wednesday.

Bell has been blighted with injury this season and it started with a broken bone in his foot during a pre-season friendly against Southport. Now Bell has now overcome his foot problem and now needs the matches to get fit and prove to Gradi of a new deal, as the Alsager born midfielder is out of contract in the summer.
