Beckham deal is nothing compared

Steve Hughes, Hulse's agent, only last week claimed:

"Despite the interest from Cardiff, there is no guarantee Rob will be going there,".

Today though it's a different story. He told 'The Western Mail' in Wales that Hulse is 'excited' at Cardiffs bid and a move could be complete by the end of next week.

"Rob is excited by Cardiff's interest. For a footballer, it's a good place to go at the moment," said Hughes.

"Now Rob is back from is holiday we are ready to talk with Cardiff.

"We should be meeting Sam and Lennie either on Tuesday or Wednesday.

"We are now able to push the move forward because Rob is back from his holiday. It could all be sorted out soon."

Steve Hughes is almost contradicting himself with them comments. So if you believe the agent then it seems Hulse is only days away from becoming a Cardiff City player. If you are in a cynical mood though, you could say it's a diversion to put Cardiff under false sense of security. Maybe some rumours of Hulse to talk to a couple of Premiership clubs, before they bid, is true?

Who knows, but I don't think it's the end to speculation as to where Hulse will end up playing next season.
