Crewe's assistant manager Neil Baker has lashed out at the Crewe faitful, after the home support turned against transfer listed Jon Otsemobor and then Michael Higdon as he came on the pitch as a second half sub.

Speaking in The Sentinal Baker said "We thought we got a reaction from the players at half-time, but, unfortunately, we didn't get a great reaction from the crowd.

"That's poor in my opinion. Those who boo their own players aren't doing us any favours at all. It is demoralising.

"No-one deserves that; people don't go out on the pitch to play poorly.

"Jon wasn't at his best, then Mike got booed as he went on the pitch - it makes no sense to me."

Higdon has had to put up with boo's from sections of the ground all season and with a lack lusture performance from Otsemobor and comments from David Vaughan about the manager is sure to add fuel to the fire from the supporters.
