It seems that Neil Baker has decided to turn down the position of becoming Stoke City's new Academy boss.
Previous boss Noel Blake left back in February after the club decided to make cut backs, he has since joined the FA.

It is believed that Baker had been short-listed after a series of interviews and was offered the position at Stoke's Academy but the life long Stoke supporter seems to have been swayed by manager Dario Gradi to stay.

Baker who has unearthed some great talent from non-league has been at the Alex since 1994 when he took over Brian Eastwick. Baker was Leek Towns most successful manager in their history after guiding the Staffordshire club to Wembley in the FA Trophy back in 1989-1990 where they lost to AFC Barrow.
