CreweAlex.com were the first to confirm that Nick Chadwick was a wanted man by Crewe last month.

After the weekend's 'woeful' performance from the team, and especially Jones and Ashton, Neil Baker has given the two strikers their last chance to prove themselves. This week Baker will go out and try to strengthen the forward line with either Stefan Moore, from Aston Villa, or Nick Chadwick, from Everton.

Baker told crewealex.net:

"We need a goalscorer, and we can probably take the lad, Moore, from Aston Villa because he is available. Chadwick is down the pecking order at Everton but he's still in around their squad. He may want to stick there abit longer.

"We're looking to do something before the Bradford game as we really can't go on as we are."

With 4 defeats and no goals in the past 4 games goals have been hard to come by all season. Someone like Stefan Moore would add that little bit of bite into the squad. the 20 year old is rated very highly, along with his younger brother Luke. Moore played 15 times last season, 8 starts, he scored a fabulous solo effort against Charlton aswell. He was also an inspiration to Aston Villa U-19s as they won the FA Youth Cup in 2002. He scored two in the final, to take that U-19 season's total to 10.
