Not matter how great of a defender Sodje is the World Cup star can not cross for toffee, this was highlighted in the World Cup. He can power his way past players but when he gets to the byline he hasn't a clue what to do so he hits and hopes. The fact he can't lift the ball more than 4 feet off the floor doesn't help either. The solution is well to drop the Nigerian, revert to 3 at the back all in the middle with Foster on the right of Walker while David Wright stays on his right. This enables Foster and to move out wide should teams want to come and attack down the flanks.
However that means a lack of width so why not play 5 along the midfield? Jack and Vaughan, when the Welshman gets fit, can play on the sides providing quality service for Hulse and Ashton up front. This also means if needs be Vaughan can pull back to the left of defence shuffling Wright to the right leaving Foz and Walker in the centre, while Lunt takes Vaughans place on the wing.
This is just my thought and hopefully just food for thought in Darios head. Dario has got everything right away from home, having the best away attacking team in the division but that will not get us promoted we need to win and score goals at Gresty Road if we don't we'll fall down the league whill attendances drop. It's still early but we need to break the Lutons of this league down or they will punish us like the last two times, Plymouth and Luton!!!
No-one said this league would be easy, Dario warned us of that, but how can we whallope teams away from home like Stockport yet struggle against worse teams at home, like Notts County. Lets go to Wigan with the right state of mind as this is a must win game, if we lose we could find our selfs out of the play-off places for a while as other teams around us are snapping at our heels. if we beat Plymouth and Luton and didn't allow them to upset the books where would we have been? - 1st!!!!!!!!
Our home form in Division One was fanuckingtastic for our league positions we need that back or play-offs will be a dream - its a sad fact.
