Hignett has been here just under 3 weeks and has played four games since signing but fans still feel he's yet to show his 'true colours'. That's if he has any left.
Dario is also one who wants to see more from the Leicester loanee and is asking Craig to start attacking the goal more...
Dario told crewealex.net: “Craig is not a young lad anymore. He is 34 years old and he won’t be flying around the pitch like he used to but we knew that when we bought him back.
“The positive thing is he is still sharp and his match fitness is really coming back now. He said he felt fine after Wednesday but there is still room for improvement from him.
“He has adopted a old general role in midfield and that is understandable because he is trying to help the team out with his experience – but we need to get him in more forward positions and threaten the goal more because we know he can create and score goals.
“Craig knows what we expect of him and he has done alright for us so far.”
Meanwhile, there is fear, if you can call it that, that Hignett may soon be recalled by Leicester City. With 9 of their players being questioned earlier this week by Spanish police over sex assault allegations their team has taken a real battering. The worst new came last night as 3 first team Leicester players were charged by Spanish authorities and face months in Spanish jail before being trialled where they could face up to 14 years in prison, 3 were released without charge and 3 were released on bail.
With two of the charged being attacking players in Leicesters small squad... Dario may just get a call from Mickey Adams sooner rather than later.
