Aston Villa Youth 3 v 1 Crewe Alexandra Youth

It was the Railwaymen that took the lead after 11 minutes when AJ Leitch-Smith nodded in from the far post but that was as good as it got as lead only lasted five minutes when Austrian Andreas Weimann levelled things up.
Villa's second came from a penalty on 25 mins and that was slotted away by Barry Bannan and then before half-time Weimann made it 3-1.
The win for Villa means that they will play agaisnt Colchester United in the fourth round.
