Ashton Unlikely To Start For U-21s

With Shola Ameobi injured we could see Deano come off the bench for the U-21s but the starting line up has been named for the Tuesday U-21 game between Croatia and England at Upton Park.

David Platt names this starting 11:
Matt Murray, Stuart Parnaby, Paul Konchesky, Jermaine Jenas, Peter Clarke, Glen Johnson, Jermaine Pennant, David Prutton, Francis Jeffers, Jermain Defoe, Gareth Barry

Deano has to beat off the likes of the likes of Carlton Cole, Darren Bent and Bobby Zamora to get a chance in this friendly. It all depends if David Platt wants to use the game to test new players, like Deano, or use it as a warm up before a couple of Euro 2004 U-21 qualifiers with Macedonia and Portugual.
