Ashton Sale Nets Crewe a Million

Norwich City have revelaed the full extent of the Dean Ashton transfer to West Ham. The £7.25m move to West Ham netted Crewe a nice tidy sum of £1.15m. Due to sell-on clause in Deano's origianl contract we received £350k outstanding from the original £3m deal that took him to Carrow Road. Add another £800k which came from 20% of the £4m profit which took him to West Ham and can see why questions will be asked on how this windfall will be spent at Thursdays AGM.
Dean himself came out a winner netting £400k which was 10% of the £4m profit although this came at a price, he waived £30k along with other monies owed to him by Norwich City just so he could get his dream ticket back to the Premiership. Other monies he also waived was bonuses for December along with his January wage and bonus and the whole of his outstanding signing on-fee.
