Ashton a Saint?

Southampton have gained quite a bit of cash over the past year with a successful season, into Europe and going all the way to Cardiff in the FA Cup. Gordon Strachan will now be looking to strengthen his squad and News Of The World say Strachan is willing to pay for Dean Ashton and quoted him on saying that he can mould Deano into a Premiership player.

With Ashton having so much ability, and there's no doubt he could one day play for England, the Alex should be looking at taking £2.5million off Southampton - even with all the problems in football.

Ashton, along with Hulse, has one year left on his contract and is currently considering a new offer from Dario. However if Ashton or Hulse, or both, reject we will have to sell to save them going for nothing... or very little in Deano's case.
