Miller Time!!
On a nice summers evening and a decent turn out from South Cheshire it was a make shift Crewe side that came away with a 2-1 win.

Crewe started off quick out of traps and Shaun Miller nearly put the Railwaymen up within 30 seconds but ust shot wide of the upright.
Miller then went close a few minutes later after he headed wide from the left foot of a Billy Jones free kick.

Then it was the turn of Alsager and a well executed move and lob had Fon Williams rooted to the spot and the ball just going inches over his cross bar.
Crewe went close again from Mat Bailey in his new position in defence and another from Shaun Miller but Crewe had to wait until the 18th minute to find the net.

Fon Williams after treatment.
Livewire Nick Farquarharson managed to win a penalty after The Bullets manager Dean Stokes up ended him in the penalty box. Gary Roberts then stepped up and comfortably converted the penalty.

Crewe had a few more chances but had to wait until the 30th minute to double their lead this time the build up play came from Billy Jones who sent Shaun Miller on his way. Miller then passed to Farquarhson but the ball only ended up with Roberts who in turn passed to an unmarked Miller who drilled the ball home.

Just before half time Fon Williams was forced into a save which he spilled out for a corner, but other wise the Alex were worthy of their lead.

HT 0-2

Roberts on the attack.
Alsager made a few changes at half time but it was Crewe that nearly added to the score line with chances from Farquarhson and Miller testing the keeper.
Then Crewe lad Michael Owen fizzed a shot at Fon Williams goal and the ball ended up in the cornor of the net.

Yet more changes by the Bullets management as they pressed for an equalizer but it was Crewe that finished the stronger.
It was the Crewe front two that tested the keeper and even Mat Bailey had the keeper pulling off a double save. Only concern was Danny Woodards who went off as a precautionary measure what looked like cramp.

FT 1-2

Crewe Mad's MOM:- James Bailey impressive and looks to be the next off the production line.
