With David Wright injured for atleast 4 weeks, Dario needed a replacement - onloan. The main target was reportedly Leeds' Frazer Richardson, the former Stoke loanee, but that bid failed after the players club rebuffed the bid:
Dario told CreweAlex.net "It was a player from a Premiership club and the club were very good about it, but they don't want to let him come.
"It took them a couple of days to get in touch with their manager because he was away, but he felt that the boy was close enough to their first team, and that they have a lot of games coming up, so they couldn't let him go.
"But they did say they may let him go in different circumstances in the future and they were very helpful."
Dario also revealed that he was offered a youngster from Liverpool but didn't feel the player was any better than Billy Jones, the natural replacement. He also failed in a 2nd bid after the player was injured in a reserve match for their club.
Dario did offer some good news though. McCready is back from a calf injury and Adie Moses returns from his troublesome hamstring injury. It's not yet known if either will make a appearance against West Brom(Live on Sky).
