Crewe announced they were looking to buy a new striker this morning. A few hours later Neil Baker said they have the striker they want on trial and are looking to make an offer for him within the next week, as Thursday next week is the deadline for transfers in the Nationwide this season. He's a pacey non-league scorer.

Some rumours say it's a guy from Nantwich, some say its Jamie Clarke from Grantham who was on trial at the club last year and some say it's a kid from Quorn, a club in Leciester.

We will wait and see.
