The 25-year-old defender has arrived at the club after being recommended by a member of staff from Manchester United. The Ghana born defender has had spells at Bordeaux, Club Brugges and is plying his trade at Royal Antwerp in Belgium.
Addo is at the club until Monday where the management team will make a decision if the club decided to take Addo on then it would either be a permanent deal or a loan deal.
Nel Baker told the Stoke Sentinel "'We've brought him in on the basis of information from Man United and so far he has looked fine in training.
'He fits the bill in that he's quick and athletic, but we'll have to see how he goes."
