Ada's last appearance was in the shock 3-2 defeat away to York City in the FA Cup, since then he has failed to win back his place in the defence.
Ada was on the bench for the 4-1 defeat to Cheshire neighbours Macclesfield Town and will look to the loan spell to get some need match practice under his belt.
Gradi told the clubs official website "Patrick is not in my plans at the moment and we will make him available for loan so he can play some games,"
"I am not looking to offload him because he has many good attributes.
"He has come up from non-league and needs a bit of work, so he knows that is fourth choice at the moment."
