Accrington boss John Coleman says he has contacted the club about Luke Rodgers.
Susupensions and injuries have hit the League Two outfit as they adjust to life in League Two and Coleman sees Rodgers as an ideal signing for the Lancashire club.
Rodgers is on the transfer list after falling down the pecking order at Gresty Road and a price of £30k will be enough to take the former Shrewsbury Town player.
Coleman said "We have asked about him and I think another League Two club has. We will have to wait and see,"
Rodgers already turned down one club last week and it is believed that Conference leaders Oxford United and League One rivals Port Vale are both interested in the player.
