The Iceman's cull continues with defender George Abbey leaving by mutual consent and midfielder Colin Daniel not being offered a new contract.
Abbey joined the Railwaymen from near neighbours Port Vale in 2007 on a free transfer after impressing in pre-season.
31-year-old Abbey only signed an improved deal last summer but the Gudjon Thordarson has decided that Abbey does not feature in his plans and the player has had his remainder of his contract paid off.
During his time at the club Abbey made 30 appearances with his last appearance coming in the 2-1 home defeat against Carlisle United in March.
Colin Daniel on the other hand has not been offered a contract at the club. 21-year-old Daniel spent last two months on loan at near neighbours Macclesfield Town making 8 appearances for the Silkmen.
Daniel was plucked from non-league Eastwood Town back in 2007 with the Railwaymen paying a nominal fee, after the player had attracted interest from Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest.
Daniel made 14 appearances for the Alex netting one goal which came in the 5-1 away defeat to Northampton Town.
