300 Not Out For Kenny

Kenny Lunt is just three seasons away from being handed a testimonial - and he's only 24. Lunt started his career as a very young looking 17 year old on the first day of the 1997-1998 season. Since he's never really looked back, for a couple of seasons he was in and out of the team but has slowly made himself the only name you can guarantee will be in the starting 11 come 3:00pm.

Kenny was on course to breaking a british record for the most consecutive matches played in, I don't know what the record is but after 119 consecutive appearance's for Crewe it couldn't have been too far away. That was ended though by his only red card of his career - at Gillingham this season.

Last season saw him England's 2nd top assist player, behind Van Nistlerooy and this season looks set to continue that with quite a few assists already.

Saturday, against Wigan, will see him appear for the 300th time in a Crewe shirt and I wouldn't bet against there being another 300. He's got everything a footballer can have - a killer touch, a decent tackle and a great dive but the only thing that stops Kenny from going to the very top is his strength... not that we mind.
