Andy Hessenthaler, Manager of Gillingham, said that Mark Cooper is "an absolute disgrace" after he sent two of his players off in their 4-2 win over Brighton. Richard Walkers UNDESERVED red card was the 6th Mark "Wigan fan" Cooper has given out in his previous 11 games!
Walker was sent off for running for the ball, His elbow fell a stray and Dinning ran straight into it!! There was no last man situation as Walker was letting it run for Ince, The elbow was FAR from deliberate from the 21 year old centre back. We've not had a sending off for over 2 years and today’s sending of was no more than a yellow card if it wasn't Mark Cooper as the ref. Cooper has now sent off 4 players in his last 5 games, 6 red cards in 11 games and 50 yellows in 11 games so far this season, that record is a referee from the Sunday league would be proud off. Other descions which were poor was the fact Wigan assisted the ball with their hand in the build up to the second goal, missing a blatant penalty when Hulse was being pulled back by Wigan defenders and numerous fouls on Crewe which were ignored while equally bad were looked upon by the twit.
We feel sorry for any other team this unfortunate fool have refereeing. We hope Dario will appeal this red card and complain about the baldy but from the looks of his interview we doubt he will.
