My Eleven

Who would you have in your team if everyone was fully fit and raring to go? We’ve all got our own choices. Here’s mine…

GK : Clayton Ince - I’m very critical of him at the moment. Embarrassing kicks to dropping the ball. Saturday he looked a tad better, and saved us from going 2-0 down in the first half, but please - sort out those kicks. I would drop him but we have no decent back up.

----

LB : Anthony Tonkin - Tonkin has come in for some unfair criticisms lately but I think he’s improving every game. His attacking ability is what you’d like from a full back, pacey with decent deliveries, his defending can be suspect but I can see it improving every week. He’s starting to get stuck into the wingers, he’s also doing this with absolutely no cover from Ben Rix.

DC : Stephen Foster - I think he’s got to be your first name on the team sheet. The only outfield player to have started every game this season he is the best centre back we have had since Macauley. Simple.

DC : Adie Moses - He brings experienced and calmness to a extremely jumpy youthful side. He’s a bargain free transfer who’s exceeded every fans expectations. We look 10 times better with him in the centre and he and Foz compliment each other fantastically.

DR : David Wright - Wrighty is Premiership quality. Nothing gets past him at the back and he scares the hell out of his opposite left back.

----

ML : David Vaughan - No doubt about it. He’s played at the highest level with Wales and he’s only 20! He is, arguably, our most inspirational player in the squad. Most important? Possibly.

MC: David Brammer - Again, he’s got to be one of the first names on the team sheet. He’s the captain fantastic of the team. We really do miss him.

MC : Justin Cochrane - He’s an Arsenal fan but he plays like he loves the Alex more than the 7,000 Alex fans in the stadium put together. At 22 he’s got to be in the team, the amount of opposition attacks he breaks up is breathtaking.

MR : Kenny Lunt - He gets assist after assist. Last season fans woke up and saw what an excellent player he is, he’s got fans behind him and ravelling in it. He’s playing consistently excellent and I daren’t guess at how many goals he’s made.

----

ST : Dean Ashton - He comes in the top 4 or 5 most important players in the team. I’ve backed him all through his career, he’s an excellent player who plays a bigger role than many (want to) think. His critics are now starting to be ousted.

ST : Steve Jones - He’s our top scorer. Already scored more than anyone else in this division for Crewe and is well on his way to 20 goals.
