In reflection...

''You'll win nothing with kids...'

Well, maybe we will dispose of that theory this season?

In reflection to yesterdays win;

In my view we were far from at our best, however, we played as a team and an inspirational Kenny Lunt display coupled with Mr 'consistancy' Brammer held the team firm and allowed us to break with conviction.
Hulsey seems a transformed player, he is brimming with confidence and taking his chances, how many times have we seen him miss from identical positions to the one from where he so eaisly scored our 4th?
Rich Walker was again rock solid, and his 'thou shall not pass attitude' was agin inforced on the Stockport frontline, or should that read, 'frontman?' That's probably the more suitable after Carlton Palmer opted to employ Luke Beckett as a lone striker.
Steve Foster was equally impressive, yet a lack of concentration at 3-0 allowed Daly an oppertunist goal, which was harsh on Ince who was left with no chance from 10 yards.
Steve Jones, a workman like performance, kept Lescott occupied in the second half and deserved his goal, is he the third striker we have lacked in recent seasons?
Finally, Stockport have introduced a number of youngsters to their side since Mr Palmer took charge, yet the talk of their 'young' side was overshadowed by our own 'youth team.' The fact that we forget how relatively young the likes of Foster, Walker, Lunt, Hulse and Rix are is credit to Dario. Palmer is left with an inexperienced side of whom most have played the majority of their short careers in none league where as Dario gave the likes of Lunt and co. a chance whilst we were in the first, something which Stockport failed to do, thus having to introduce a number of youngsters who have no league experience into the side at once. Where as we gradually blood our young talent, therefore they gain experience whilst not being over used.
We played like a true team yesterday and the performance left me with the confidence that we are capable of mounting a serious promotion challenge.

With us gaining on top spot, I think it's only a matter of time before we occupy the posistion...
