Vaughans goal was a lovley build up. Vaughan half way inside our half, giving it to Ashton just inside Cheltenhams half. Ashton runs at the Cheltenham defence while Vaughan races forward. Deano gets to about 5 yards from the area where 3 Cheltenham player charge in front of him, only to knock each other to the floor, while Deano simply toe pokes it through for Vaughan to run onto to smash home from 18 yards. Note how Vaughany ran from deep inside the Crewe half. Excellent.
Rodders goal was superb.a clearence from a Cheltenham corner found Deano halfway inside the Alex's half. He volleyed it to Rodders just inside the Alexs' half on the by line, Jack took a brilliant first touch to set him on his way and he ran like a mad man straight into Cheltenhams area beating two defenders to curled it round the keeper from the tightest of angles.
The penalty could well have been a freekick. Dean was stumbling outside the area but managed to just stay on his feet until in the area where Howarth gave him a final trip. Penalty and sending off deserved. Penalty cooly slotted into the bottom left by the king of all kings.
