Every game you go to there's always someone near you who does nothing but abuse Deano for lack of work rate. It's one of few arguements that splits fans, and Im going to argue in favour of Dean.
He's got the skill, the vision, the ability and the touch to go all the way in football but at the age of 19 some can't help but get on his back game after game. He had a bad season when we got relegated and we he had a poor start to last season but i think every game he's returning to the Ashton that amazed every Crewe fan every game.
Granted, Dean can frustrate fans with his long shots but he has the ability to score them and if he has that then why not have a pop? He can milk challenges abit but is that doing any harm? nope. Some fans are just being too picky.
Every game Ashton shows intelligence with good runs and great passing. recently he's been tracking back and hassling defenders. Yet Dean is still labled as lazy.... why? Because he's not scoring every game?
I feel he's just starting to hit form. he offers more to the team than some give him credit for. He's ready to prove a few doubters wrong.
