Are Blackpool living up to their fans expectations?

Probably.. this season was always going to be one of consolidation for
McMahon's side although the recent shoddy performances have attracted
criticism not least from Macca himself our last win being March 1st and only
2 points from 21 possible has seen the Seasiders slide away from the
play-offs

Last time we met
Did anyone impress you, out of the Crewe team, at Gresty Road?

I went to this game along which a sizeable Seaside following that made
up the crowd of nearly 1,400 who travelled to Gresty Road keen to see a
Tangerine revival. Sadly this was not to be as a rather incompetent ref in
the form of Peter Walton sent off John Hills which virtually handed the
game on a plate to Crewe. We then witnessed a rather bad tempered game but
in fairness the Tangerines were outplayed and outfought by the better team.

What change would you most like to see before/on Saturday?

I would like to se a bit of pride restored to the side as this poor run of
results continues to sap confidence but the injuries are just piling up and
the team will be full of youngsters on Saturday.

Low point of the season?

For me it was the 2-1 defeat at Barnsley on Tuesday 17th September a win in
front of 1100 travelling fans would have set us on top of Division Two that
night but we were once again outplayed after going ahead. Fortunately we
returned to beat the Tykes 4-1 in the FA Cup at Oakwell.

High point?

Probably the 1-0 win over Cardiff City at Bloomfield Road in a season of not
too many memorable moments.

What's Blackpool's weak point?

Defensively the Tangerines have been conceding far too many goals this
season especially when loan defender and highly rated Peter Clarke returned
to Everton and veteran Colin Hendry returned to Bolton after the end of very
useful loan spells but our weakest area is our ratio of chances we create
and our poor strike rate this has been dire all season long.

Strong point?

Blackpool can play fluent passing attacking football that has
drawn much praise from opponents however the need to carve out results has
seen Macca resort to a more direct and counter attacking style of play.

Best player?

Keith Southern, but he's already out for the rest of the season
with a knee injury and our other star midfielder Richie Wellens is unlikely
to play either if Martin Bullock appears on Saturday he's likely to be an
important part of McMahon's squad for next season.

How many do you expect to turn out at Bloomfield Road?

The big gates will have gone now that Pool have no realistic chance of the
play-offs 5 or 6 thousand depends if Alex bring some support but it'll be
well down on recent home games.

Prediction for Saturday?

I thought we'd get beat 2-1 by Notts County but it was 3-1 you could really
spank Macca's youngsters on Saturday so I would say around 3 or 4-0 to Crewe
not that Blackpool care they've already booking their Summer holidays for
weeks now.
