Manager of the Terriers, Mick Wadsworth, has just this one game to keep his job for a extra week. Wadsworth became Town manager on 1st July 2002 after Lou Macari, who ironically took over the Terriers hours before they last visited Gresty Road, got the sack. There was no reason for the sacking apart from the fact he got them in the play-offs. Nearly as funny as Stoke sack Gujdon Thordarseson or whatever his name was for getting them promoted. It's a crazy world in management outside of the Alexandra Stadium. Mick Wadsworth took over and it was thought by many, even our very own Lee Bell, that Hudders would be there or there abouts at the end of the season. It now seems they will be there or there abouts, just at the other end of the table.

Huddersfield never really were that bad. In 1994/95 they were promoted to
Bankole to start
Division One where they enjoyed small sucess. Finishing 8th twice and 10th and 16th inbetween but then it rapidly went down hill when they were relegated with Tranmere and QPR. Last season they snatched a play-off place only to lose to Brentford in the play-off semi finals. This season Huddersfield started poorly with just 2 wins. When we met them at the McAlpine Stadium we were 14th, they were 19th, but there was 1 point between 20th and 12th. In that game Hulse chipped in his first goal of the season on the 17th minute but in the second half a Andy Booth far post header equalised for Huddersfield and the Alex only picked up 1 point. How 2 points would come in handy now.

Huddersfield fell out of the LDV in the first hurdle at Wrexham, losing 2-1. Lost to Swindon in the FA Cup 1st Round and after beating Darlington in the first round of the Worthy Cup they were knocked out by Burnley 1-0. In their current league form they have only won one game. Also if you think it's just on field problems, wrong. They have fallen victim, like many, to the finances crisis and are a week or two from
Stitch
going into administration. Things just aren't pretty in Huddersfield.

As for us, well heres our weekly dive into how a win, loss or draw would do us. Firstly a win could put us second again if Oldham lose to Wycombe. However we need goals as well. Although we have the best goal difference if you miss out Wigan with Cardiff playing Cheltenham unless theres a shock result Cardiff could pile the goals in Cheltenham - as we did the other week. So we must get goals. Worst case scenario is a draw or loss and Oldham, Bristol City and Cardiff win asthat would push us back down to 5th place. Not good.

Wadsworth
The team tomorrow will be totally different to the one that lost on penalties on Tuseday. 30 goal strike force Ashton and Hulse will be likley to return to lead the front line. Thatwill push Miles out of the side and Steve Jones onto the right wing, maybe seeing Sorvel drop out. Foster returns from suspension to replace Richard Walker in the centre of defence and with Ince injure we have Clown Bankole to take between the posts. Another reason why we need alot of goals.

Mick Wadsworths men will miss Jon Stead through suspension, Danny Schofield whos out for 9 weeks with a hernia and Gareth Evans out due to knee surgery. Andy Booth and Martin Smith will be the leaders.

Prediction :<Crewe Alexandra 4-0 Huddersfield>:
