The Nigerian spent a few months onloan at Oldham a couple of season's back before signing for Crystal Palace on a free transfer. It was Trevor Francis' who took Dele along with him to Selhurst but again it never worked out with only 5 goals in 40 appearances, even if one was against Stoke, and once again Trevor Francis being sacked Adebola felt he needed a new challenge, and a new manager to work with, and rejected Crystal Palace's contract.
Adebola has been talking to Coventry for a couple of weeks but today sealed a 2 year deal with the cash strapped club. Adebola will join the sky blues at the start of July.
Meanwhile, further up north, Dave Walton is struggling to find a new club following his release from the Alex a couple of months ago. 'Stitch' had apparently been talking to Bradford City but today the Bantams refuted the discussions.
The Bradford chairman, Gordon Gibb, said they had discussed Dave Walton: "While I couldn't categorically say that nobody has inquired about him, he is not someone we are seriously discussing.
"There are any number of players that Nicky Law may have looked at or had watched and maybe someone has spoken to his agent. But we're not talking about him being an imminent signing."
Walton played 170 games for the Alex before he refused to discuss a new contract last month.
