Tim Robinson the brains behind the idea told the Crewe Chronicle "We've been horrified by the appalling attendances and support, especially in the Gresty Road End.
"Our main aim is to help the team. We believe the best thing we can do is get behind them at all times and create an atmosphere that is noisy, colourful and intimidating.
"Ultras will wear red, get in the ground early and make as much noise as possible.
"On Saturday we'll have 5,000 balloons to sell to fans outside the ground.
"All proceeds will be ploughed into buying flags, banners, vuvuzelas, drums and anything else that will make a positive impact on the matchday atmosphere."
Ultras does have the stigma of hooligan firms in Italy but Tim told the Chronicle "This group does not condone violence or racism. We do not approve of anything that breaks the law or stadia rules.
"We do not want fireworks, encroachment onto the playing area, persistent standing or anything that could tarnish the reputation of Crewe Alex and their fans. We are here to help the team."
Everyone at Crewe Mad would like to wish Tim and the Gresty Road end good luck in the their venture.
The Alex Ultras are a group of Crewe fans who believe that while some things within the club can be improved, the best thing we can do is get behind the team at all times, and create an atmosphere that is noisy, colourful and intimidating.
